Although it’s not difficult to set up a blog (especially with blogger.com), it is important for your blog to focus on a particular theme, or ‘niche’.Let’s begin by clarifying precisely what a ‘niche’ is.
In general, we could say that a niche is a focused, specialized area of expertise or experience. You will have a greater chance of succeeding online if you select a more narrow, as opposed to a broad, theme. The idea is to find a niche where the competition isn’t too stiff, yet the demand is still sufficiently high.
It might be helpful to think of a niche as a subtopic area of a larger theme. If your site focused on ‘golf’ for example, you’d encounter a lot of competition for that term, and so your site would have difficulty ranking highly amid such competition. You’d have a much higher chance of success if you focused on ‘how to improve your golf swing’, a much more narrow niche.
You may have heard this many times before, but it’s worth repeating. Most Internet marketers do not succeed online because they fail to take action.Let me add my own spin to this: it’s not just any action that’s important, but rather focused, meaningful, productive action.

Take advantage of these opportunities to increase traffic to your blog by thanking other bloggers who have referred their visitors to your site, and/or provide a reciprocal link back to their blog as well. Build good will, and you will build your reputation.

The first thing you can do to generate traffic is to regenerate all the content you’ve posted to your blog in another format. That is, you can turn your blog posts into ebooks, manuals, newsletter content pieces (delivered by autoresponder), or articles. If you re-write the content as articles, you can then submit them to article directories. These article directories are like aggregators that collect articles of similar themes together in one place, so they receive thousands of qualified visitors every day.
